Hi
In this newsletter:
Awesome info on Carrot Seed Essential Oil and Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil.
Cranberry Orange Relish Recipe
Carrot Seed Essential Oil
Carrot Seed essential oil can help you retain your youth by supporting you in looking refreshingly young. It helps to restore elasticity to the skin and therefore reduces wrinkles. Carrot seed essential oil is considered to be particularly beneficial for dry, mature skin-types. Actually, the anti oxidants in it repair the damage done to your tissues by the oxidants (free radicals) and stop them from doing further harm.
These anti oxidants prevent skin from wrinkling, hair from going white, joints from becoming stiff, muscles from getting soft, and weakening of eyesight.
According to http://www.organicfacts.net, Carrot Seed Essential Oil can cure infections on skin and in wounds and even protect from new infections. It is miraculously effective in curing sores, gangrene, psoriasis, ulcers, and rashes.
Internally taken, It is effective in fighting viral infections such as the flu, mumps, cough and cold, and measles, so parents take note, Carrot seed essential oil is a clean, green, way of protecting yourself and Your children this winter! It can even cure viral infection of the whole respiratory system, thus beneficial with bronchitis.
It is also effective in curing infections of the throat, mouth, colon, stomach, intestines and urinary system. Recent studies have shown that Carrot Seed oil is beneficial in curing some forms of cancer too, especially those of mouth, throat, stomach, prostrate, and kidneys. These anti carcinogenic properties can be attributed partly to its anti oxidant properties, and partly to the other medicinal properties, as described below.
Carrot Seed Oil has the ability to detoxify the blood. It removes accumulation of toxins like uric acid from the blood, tissues, muscles and joints, thereby helping cure arthritis, gout, and rheumatism. This action also detoxifies the liver and kidneys. It can neutralize excess bile secreted from liver and can help cure infections of the liver. This is SUPER huge. If you know anyone struggling with liver issues, suggest carrot seed essential oil. It can be taken in tea or rubbed directly on the body. I would do both.
Carrot Seed oil is also a stimulant. It stimulates circulation and metabolism. It stimulates brain functions and nerves, thus making you more alert and active. It also stimulates secretion of hormones, enzymes, gastric juices, and the peristaltic motion of the intestines, thus keeping all the organic systems active and on task. 🙂
Carrot Seed Essential Oil is widely used in aromatherapy due to its mild and soothing earthy aroma which is very effective in relieving stress and anxiety and gives you a refreshing feeling. This is why I love essential oils as remedies!! They smell delightful and put a smile on my face while seriously kicking toxins out.
Blending: Although there are different blends for different purposes, Carrot Seed Oil goes well with juniper berry, Geranium, Lavender, Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Neroli, Avocado, and Cedar Wood. Look up Brigitte Mars, Beauty By Nature, for terrific essential oil recipes to get rid of cellulite, improve memory, or whatever effect you’re looking for.
Carrot Seed Essential Oil, as the name suggests, is extracted by steam distillation, primarily from the dried seeds and secondarily from the dried Wild Carrot plant itself.
Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil

antiquity. The Old Testament makes specific mention of the spice many times: first when Moses is commanded to use both sweet cinnamon and cassia(cinnamon bark) in the holy anointing oil, and in Proverbs where the lover’s bed is perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. It was so highly prized among ancient nations that it was regarded as a gift fit for monarchs and even for a god: a fine inscription records the gift of cinnamon and cassia to the temple of Apollo at Miletus. Now it’s available to us for a very small price! Give yourself and your loved ones a gift fit for the Gods. Read on…
Cinnamon leaf oil has a restorative, uplifting effect on the body and spirit. A massage in Cinnamon leaf oil is like wrapping a warm blanket around yourself, as it has a warming effect. It can take the chill off the coldest winter day, take note all my Middle America and East Coast readers. Cinnamon oil is well known as a restorative oil as it helps in recovery from illness. It is the perfect natural home remedy for cold extremities due to poor circulation.
Cinnamon leaf essential oil acts as a brain tonic. It helps boost activities in the brain and also helps remove nervous tensions and memory loss.
It helps in removing impurities in the blood and is recommended for treating pimples. Cinnamon leaf essential oil aids in blood circulation, thereby significantly removing pain. It helps in removing inflammation, so relieves pain and stiffness of muscles and joints too.
It also helps reduce the chances of heart attack, so a great treatment for someone who has issues in this area.
Cinnamon leaf essential oil is effective on external and internal infections due to its antibacterial properties. Cinnamon leaf oil also benefits those suffering from infection, coughs, colds, flu, rheumatism, and arthritis.
Cinnamon aids in controlling the sugar levels in the blood, thus making cinnamon very useful for those with diabetes.
Pure Cinnamon Leaf Oil is also noted as helpful for controlling bacteria and disinfecting the air. Cinnamon leaf oil is best used in a diffuser and in small amounts in massage preparations.
Use Suggestions:
Combine cinnamon oil with massage oil of Jojoba, coconut or apricot, to increase circulation and relieve tense muscles. Use on a hot compress for a nice warm facial. Can also be diluted and used as a mouthwash, as cinnamon also has antiseptic properties (5 drops to 4 oz water). Add a few drops to a hot bath for a relaxing restorative getaway.
Blends well with:
Bergamot, Clove, Frankincese, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Lemon, Orange, Cardamom, Lemongrass, and Patchouli
Caution with Cinnamon Leaf Oil:
Do not use while pregnant. When used in larger qualities, this oil can be a skin irritant. Use carefully and in smaller quantities. Undiluted essential oils in their purest state are extremely potent, and should be blended with a carrier oil or other medium prior to use directly on the skin, as the essential oil may cause irritation.

I bought my Stinging Nettle plants from http://www.localharvest.org. I planted them in my yard and they are thriving. (If you don’t have a yard, plant in large pots). I’m convinced that many European countries stay thin and healthy because of their large intake of nettles, despite all the bread, cheese, wine, and espresso. Fear not if you don’t live in a sunny climate, this plant will go dormant for the winter, but will bounce back brilliantly in the spring, and likes to be planted in the shade.

I had such a good time being interviewed by Cher Till, an extremely fun and lively show host. She has a talk radio show about healthy lifestyles and vegan diets. She is 60, and after some severe health issues, started eating a live foods diet and has never felt better. I learned a lot from speaking to her. It’s so wonderful how we all benefit from each others experiences.

Listen to the show here

Come out one and all for An Organic Martini and Green Makeover party at Evolue in Beverly Hills, Thursday the 13th, 5- 8pm.
See below flyer for details. You’ll be introduced to some wonderful natural beauty lines, and I’ll be giving a brief talk on Live Foods for Beauty and Structured Water. Hope to see you all there!
I am SO GRATEFUL for Evolue! This store introduced me to lines like Tata Harper, Arcona and Golden Path Alchemy. I saw a difference in my skin right away, and it feels good to support lines that really care about the people using them.

Recipe Time! These are quick, easy and delicious live food staples. Cranberries are such an amazing purifier. Try this recipe while you still can get fresh cranberries. I made these recipes in my last class, so for those that were there, sorry for the repeat, I wanted everyone to get these simple treats.
FABULOUS Cranberry Orange Relish
12 oz bag of organic raw cranberries
1 orange with peel, sliced
1 Fuji or gala apple
1 ½ Tbsp Raw Honey OR Raw Agave nectar
Cut orange and apple into slices, then halve those slices, leaving peel on the orange. Put all ingredients in food processor with the chop blade and pulse until it becomes like a salsa. That’s it. Serve in a pretty bowl. Keeps in refrigerator for a week.
**People always ask me where they can get their protein. Here is a protein packed lunch or dinner.

Zesty Stuffed Tomatoes (this recipe is for 4, multiply or subtract as needed)
4 large vine ripe organic tomatoes
1 ½ cups raw hulled sunflower seeds
¾ cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 large kale leaf
¼ cup black olives, pitted and sliced
5 fresh basil leaves
2 gloves garlic
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp sea salt
Ideally, the seeds are germinated and dehydrated for this recipe, but can be made without that process.

*Slice the top off the tomatoes, set tops aside, you will place them back on after the tomatoes are stuffed. Using a spoon, spoon out the insides of the tomatoes and put in the food processor. Simply put all ingredients in the food processor with chop tool and pulse until the mixture is well chopped and mixed together.
*Spoon mixture into the hollowed out tomatoes and place the sliced top back on in a slightly slanted way. This is absolutely beautiful, super nutritious, and very easy to prepare. Enjoy.
With Much Love,
Blythe
